  • Jesus fills all our holes and completes us

  • As a Christian we are called to shine bright
  • Our fire is lit here at camp but we must remember that we must keep our fire burning when we go home
  • People should see a difference in you when you are back home and are glowing for God
  • Don’t light your light and just go home and hide it
  • Go home and SHINE for Jesus

Happy Fourth of July! What a beautiful day to celebrate our independence! Campers will be making it around to their last activities today and tomorrow! Everyone here at CA is ready to have an amazing day!

  • Once we become a Christian, we cannot just sit there and “be pretty”, Jesus called us to influence others for Him
  • God has a plan and purpose for our lives. Exactly where he wants us to be. All part of his divine plan
  • We tend to get really good at “being a Christian” but we must walk through life humble and selfless
  • We must learn to forgive and have humility to those around us
  • Forgiveness is something we need to do freely
  • In Jesus we are given the perfect example

  • Do you have to change some behaviors or thoughts to help you live a glowing life? Like what?
  • What is the number one way that you can best influence the people around you?

Todays small groups talked about the following questions during their first activity round;

  • Does God send Adam and Eve out of the garden because He wants them to be unhappy or because of the choices they made?
  • Do you ever feel like you are punished just for the heck of it or is it truly because of the choices you make?
  • What does the serpent do for Adam and Eve?
  • Do you ever feel like there are people in your life who distract, deceive, or lie to you?
  • Do you ever feel like you have to live up to a certain standard or be perfect all the time? Does that pressure come from yourself or someone else in your life?
  • Do you think it is possible to know the whole Bible and still not know Jesus? Why? How?
  • If  you can’t be good enough and everyone has sinned does that take any pressure off the need to be perfect?
  • If you can’t earn God’s love through your actions, how do you encounter God’s love?
  • How can you encourage each other to receive what God has for you?

This is a lot of information and some really deep questions. Our purpose of sharing this with you is to give you the opportunity when your camper is back home with you to discuss some of these questions with them! Take this to your advantage and grow in your faith with your camper when this week is over.

Morning Worship

Song set:

  1. Rise and Sing
  2. Take it all
  3. How Great is Our God

  • The darkness will always work to find a way in us, the darkness doesn’t always win but it is always present
  • God made us exactly how he wanted us to be
  • We all find an area of need where we feel like we are just not complete and we let the darkness in through this hole inside of us
  • God stays with us and loves us even when we walk away and try to fill our areas of need on our own

  • What are some examples that you have seen of darkness and light?
  • Which do you encounter more? The darkness or the light?
  • What are some gifts that God has given you?
  • Do you use those gifts for God and His kingdom, or for your own reasons?
  • How can your gifts be used within you group this week?
