Closing Ceremony Video
As camp comes to a close, the campers are sad to leave but eager to share what they've learned. Here's a video to show what camp this week was all about!
Daily Director Greeting
- Lift Your Head Weary Sinner
- Like a Lion
Tonight the campers learned the difference between coming to serve and being served. When we serve someone, we need to look at our motivation behind it. Like Jesus raised Lazarus, he can raise us from the dead. Sometimes we can be so dead in our sins that we don't even realize that we stink. God can heal us and give us the right motivation behind serving each other.
The campers served each other communion and then prayed with each other. Later tonight, they will wash each others feet just like Christ washed the disciples'.
Tonight the campers built their own rafts and raced them through camp! They had to run them from the valley to the pond at high ropes. From there they had to swim them from one end to the other and run them back up the hill! It was a close race!
Tonight the campers will have an amazing taco bar! They will have their choice of tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, and hot sauce to put on their tortilla or chips! It's going to be a great meal and prepare them for regatta races tonight!
After lunch the campers get to rest for a whole hour! This will prepare them for their last day of activities this week! After horizontal hour, they will get to blob, swim, paintball, and do high ropes!
Daily Director Greeting
- We Shine
- One Way Jesus
- I Will Follow
Tonight Pastor Rob spoke about being a follower of Jesus. If we want to imitate Jesus, we need to follow everything he does. To be a disciple means we need to be all in. We need to live as he lived and love as he loved. We also need to realize that being a disciple of Jesus is costly and can be difficult sometimes.
The campers were anointed with oil and prayed over by staff members. After this, they were given small, wooden crosses to commemorate "taking up the cross."
Instead of valley games, the campers and staff got to participate in pool olympics! They faced many challenges such as keeping their counselor on a barrel as they floated across the water. It was a great time full of splashing, fun, and some healthy competition!
Everyone was flying high at the blob this afternoon at Camp Adventure!
Today the campers learned on the low ropes course that it's important to lean on each other through life. They had to complete obstacles that they could only get through if they worked together. By the end of low ropes, they learned that each person matters and makes a difference!
A Beautiful Morning!
It's the perfect weather for some fun camp activities! The campers will have a blast on the blob, high ropes, low ropes, canoes, and paintball on this sunny, 75℉ day!

This Little Light of Mine
For tonight's spiritual focus, the campers had an impactful night of new commitments to God!
- This Little Light of Mine
Tonight Rob talked about being a "Hokey-Pokey" Christian. This means that we are sometimes in with our faith and sometimes out. To be truly connected to Christ we need to be all in! With God, we can go from sinners to saints. We can use our little lights to make a huge difference in a world of darkness.
The campers were able to light tea lights on a table. The room was completely dark, so when the lights were lit it made a huge difference. This demonstration showed that our little amount of light can light up the whole room of darkness.
For tonight's valley games, the campers had an exciting color war!

All Camp Swim
It's late afternoon, which means all camp swim time! Whether it's counselor ball, the high dive, or just hanging out, everyone loves the pool. In less than an hour, the campers will be heading from the pool to the lodge for a yummy dinner!
Today the campers got to climb the rock wall! After each of them climbed it multiple times, they all got to zipline down! It was awesome to hear everyone encouraging each other from the ground.

- Lift Your Head
- Rise and Sing
- Nothing is Wasted
Tonight's focus was on repenting and turning toward's God. Just like a dog returning to its vomit, we often return to our old sinful ways. The campers learned that we need to repent and turn towards God. It was a beautiful night, and over 7 campers came to the front and turned their lives over to God!
In the first demonstration, Director Rob rolled out a long piece of paper that said "Sinner" on one end and "Saint" on the other. The campers had to put their name on which side they thought they were closest to. They learned that we should all be on the "Sinner" side because we cannot come close to being a saint without God's help.
In the second demonstration, the campers wrote a sin they were struggling with on a piece of paper. They burnt this paper in a campfire to symbolize turning away from that sin.
Slip N' Sliding Through Camp
The slip n' slide down the valley was a blast! There were style contests, farthest slide competitions, and cabin slides!
It's a sunny day here at Camp Adventure, and the campers are ready for some paintball! They are learning to work together in games like team elimination, capture the flag, and the Alamo. It's great to see the exhilarated looks on their faces as they get ready to play!

2)God's Not Dead
3)No Longer Slaves
For their first night at camp, the campers learned to connect to God by thriving. Some people go through the motions of life, but we were meant to prosper and flourish. We can do this through connecting with each other and to God. Just like the prodigal son, we are forgiven and made to thrive again even when we sin. God is so forgiving. It's not about being a "good kid," it's about being "God's kid."
- Luke 15 (The Prodigal Son)
The campers, counselors, and staff are so excited to start off a new week at camp!
