Songs:

  1. Mighty to Save
  2. Our God

The Message:

Some parts of the Bible can be confusing. People study and debate and argue about many verses, but one particular verse in John is very clear. We must love one another just as God loved us. If we had everything in the world but didn't have love, we'd have nothing. God wants us to spread His love with others and having a serving heart.

Demonstration:

The campers were served communion and had an amazing worship session afterwards where they were able to pray with each other.

Slip N' Slide

One of the most exhilarating parts of camp is the giant slip n' slide! All the campers have a great time sliding down the valley hill and cooling down at the same time.

#Taco Night Taco night is always the best night at Camp Adventure! The campers get to create their own tacos or taco salads from a variety of ingredients. This meal is always a hit with the campers! #Archery Archery is a unique activity happening this week at camp. The campers have the opportunity to use their skills to shoot down shaving cream cans, watermelons, bags of flour, and more!

Songs:

  1. We are the Free
  2. The Stand
  3. Oceans

The Message:

It's one thing to be a fan of Jesus, but it's another to be a disciple of Him. Tonight the campers learned that to thrive, they must take up their cross and follow Christ. God desires us to be full time disciples, so we need to take the plunge and be all in for Him!

Demonstration:

Tonight the campers got to take a cross symbolizing becoming a disciple. They then got to jump in the pool to take a plunge for their faith!

Scripture:

  1. Romans 12:2
  2. Matthew 28:18

Messy Games!

Shaving cream design contests, slime relays, and bug pick-ups were only a few of the messy games tonight! All the campers had a great time getting some exercise while getting messy at the same time.

Fun Times at the Blob!

The blob is one of the most exciting activities at camp! The campers get to jump down onto the blob and send their cabin-mates flying through the air.

3...2...1...Zipline!

There are a total of 3 ziplines at Camp Adventure! There is one from the high ropes course and a double zipline off the rock wall. All the campers love flying down them after working hard on the course!

High Ropes

Many campers conquered their fears today at high ropes and on the rock wall!

Songs:

  1. Your Love Never Fails
  2. We Were Made to Thrive
  3. Vapor

The Message:

Tonight was commitment night at Camp Adventure! The campers learned that when we are just surviving, we are living in darkness. We cannot flourish if we have no light in our lives. When we thrive, we are living in the light of God. We have to realize that God's light is always available to us, we just have to choose to walk into it!

Demonstration:

The campers got to choose if they wanted to commit or recommit their lives to Christ. If the chose to, they had the opportunity to pray with their counselor and light a candle.

Water Olympics

Sink the canoe, Trash, and Biggest Splash were some of the competitions in today's pool olympics! It was a tight race as the cabins faced each other in some friendly competition!

#Crafts! For craft time today, the campers are making rainbow colored pictures using string and nails. All the artwork looks beautiful!

Low Ropes

At low ropes, the campers learn to work together to get through the obstacle course! They have to lean on each other because no one can do the course alone.

Canoes!

It's a beautiful day to canoe out on the lake!

Songs:

  1. Let Me Feel You Shine
  2. How He Loves
  3. From the Inside Out

The Message:

The word sin translate in Greek to mean "to miss the mark." Often times in life, we miss the mark and end up sinning instead of following God. It's easy to get off the path, but we need to understand that God is always there to bring us back! We are forgiven by Christ and can turn away from our sin and toward Him.

Demonstration:

Tonight the campers wrote down a sin they were struggling with. They then took it outside and watched it burn in a fire. This symbolizes turning away from sin and toward God's grace.

Scripture:

  1. 1 John 1:9

Granny's Candy

Tonight's valley game was called, "Granny's Candy," because the campers had to retrieve candy from the Oompa Loopmas who stole it! In this game, the candy is in the form of baloons that the Oompa Loompas try to pop before the campers can get it to their base!

Paintball!

The girls got to play paintball this afternoon! They played games such as capture the flag, The Alamo, and team elimination. They learned that they need to work together and care for each other.

Going for a Swim

On a hot day like today, the pool is a great place to be! The campers can play counselor ball, jump off the diving boards, or just hang out with their friends.

Rockin' It!

Today the campers climbed the rock wall! It was great to see all the enthusiasm and encouragement the campers brought forth during their first activity of the week.

Songs:

  1. We Are the Free
  2. Oceans
  3. Open the Eyes of my Heart

The Message:

Tonight the campers learned that the theme of this week is "Thrive." There's a difference between just surviving and thriving in our walk with God. When we thrive we connect with God and each other. The campers were given legos to symbolize connecting. Everyone has a specific role in the big picture of God's creation, and we each fit in perfectly!

Scripture:

  1. John 15

All Camp Swim

For the first activity of the week, the campers got to jump in the pool!
