Songs:

  1. Free to be Me
  2. Losing
  3. The Struggle

The Message:

Today's theme of the week is centered on serving each other. When Jesus washed the disciple's feet, he humbled himself. We need to be humble like him to serve one another. We can show God's love through everything we do, and He calls us to do just that!

Demonstration:

The campers had campfires with their cabins and got to spend time together in God's word!

Slip N' Slide

Today the campers got to go down our super long slip n' slide instead of doing valley games!

Facing Fears

Songs:

  1. Where I Belong
  2. The Motions
  3. Overcome

The Message:

Pastor Bob spoke about not being conformed to the patterns of this world. Everything we hear from the devil is deceitful, but in Christ we find truth. A Christian believes and spreads the Word of God. When we follow Him, it's a sacrifice, but it's totally worth it!

Demonstration:

The campers were handed crosses that symbolized taking up their cross. To be a disciple means we must take up the cross and share God's Word. They then headed to the pool and took the plunge for Jesus!

Scripture:

  1. Romans 12:11
  2. Romans 12:2

Messy Games

From spaghetti sauce to mustard and noodles, messy games was awesome! There wasn't one camper not covered in messiness and food!

Bible Quiz

After dinner, the campers have bible quiz! They get to choose categories about the Bible and about Camp Adventure. It's always a fun time filled with comedic moments from the CA staff!

The Blob!

On a hot day like today, it's great to be in the water! The campers all had a blast at the blob today! They had amazing attitudes and lots of fun.

Low Ropes

At low ropes, the campers learned that God bridges the gap of sin in our lives. They had to work together to get everyone to the other platform!

  3. City on Our Knees

The Message:

Tonight's speaker, Steph, talked about living in the light of Jesus. Each of us struggles with darkness, and we might see no way out. Sometimes, we may feel as if we are alone in our darkness. Jesus came to claim us and bring us truth and joy. His plan for us in the light with Him is great!

Demonstration:

The campers decided if they were ready to say yes to Jesus. They broke glow sticks and lit up the room symbolizing Jesus in their lives.

Songs:

  1. The Struggle
  2. Free to Be Me
  3. City on Our Knees

The Message:

Pastor Bob used the metaphor of using axe instead of showering is like us surviving instead of thriving. Instead of trying to cover up our sin, we should repent and let Jesus wash it away. We need to know if we are trying to control our lives or if we are letting God take charge.

Demonstration:

The campers wrote one sin they are struggling with on paper and were able to burn it in a fire. They then got to paint what God has transformed them into in glow paint on a black canvas.

Water Games

From tug-a-war to relay races, the campers had a blast playing water games in the valley this evening!

#U..S..A..BLOB! In spirit of "Murica Monday," the campers yelled "U..S..A..BLOB!" instead of the regular "3..2..1..BLOB!" today at the blob. It really gave everyone at the blob an enthusiastic experience.

Teamwork!

At low ropes, the campers had to lean on each other to get through the course! This video below shows the campers working together to complete "The Flying V."

Paintball

For the campers' first rotation of the week, they got to participate in paintball! They played games like team elimination, capture the flag, and the Alamo. Through playing paintball, they learned teamwork!

Songs:

  1. No Man is an Island
  2. By Your Side
  3. God's Not Dead

The Message:

The theme of camp this week is "Thrive," so Pastor Bob introduced the topic to the campers. They learned that there is a difference between just surviving and thriving. The first step in our relationship with God can be the hardest, so we need to unite with our brothers and sisters in Christ. When we work together, we can learn to thrive in our faith.

Demonstration:

The counselors passed out lego necklaces to all the campers. This represents being connected with each other and God.

Start to a Great Week!
