Songs:

1) Rise and Sing
2) Freedom
3) I Will Follow

The Message:

Tonight's message was about servanthood. Jesus came to earth and humbled himself enough to wash the disciples' feet. We were meant to follow in his footsteps and serve others. This means being a true servant instead of a fake one. We need to look at our motives behind serving and make sure we are doing it for God and not ourselves.

Demonstration:

The campers served each other communion. After the service there was a bonfire where the staff member, Abby, shared her testimony.

Scripture:

1) 1 Peter 5:2
2) Mark 9:35

Slip N' Slide!

Taco Night

For tonight's dinner, the campers feasted on a delicious meal of tacos! They could choose from a multitude of ingredients to make their taco their own. They also got churros for dessert!

Paintball

It's 70 degrees outside and a great day for paintballing! The campers will be playing team elimination, capture the flag, and the Alamo!

Songs:

1) My Redeemer Lives
2) The Great I Am
3) Made New

The Message:

The message tonight was about being all in for God. We spend so much time worshipping other things, like the amount of Instagram followers we have, that we don't take time for Jesus. We need to take up our cross and fully commit to worshipping God alone.

Demonstration:

The campers literally got to "take up the cross" by picking up their own little crosses. They then got to choose if they wanted to take the plunge. Everyone who decided they were ready jumped in the pool at once!

Scripture:

1) Romans 12:2

Valley Games

Assassins was the game of choice tonight at valley games! It was mass chaos as all the campers had to knock their opposing team's dodgeball off of a giant plunger!

Campfire Cookout!

Tonight's dinner was served alongside a classic campfire! The campers got to roast their own hotdogs and marshmallows.

Sunny Blobbing

It's an awesome, sunny day for the blob! Check out this mini-video of a camper being blobbed!

Lending a Hand

Today at low ropes, the campers got to help each other out! To get across the course, they had to hand each other the rope. They learned teamwork and that it takes patience to accomplish a task!

Morning Worship

This morning the campers has a great morning worship session outside. It was a perfect way to start this beautiful day!

Songs:

1) Your Grace is Enough
2) I'm Made New
3) Oh Happy Day

The Message:

Tonight's message was about turning away from our darkness and toward God's light. When we try to survive on our own, we are living in darkness. Sometimes, we don't even realize how dark we really are. Jesus can invade our darkness with a lantern that will brighten our whole selves. We each have little lights inside us when we are with God. We can choose to shine brightly and thrive so everyone else can see.

Demonstration:

The campers lit their own little tea lights from a bigger candle, which symbolized Jesus. Their little lights lit up each of their faces and the whole room.

Scripture:

1) John 8:12
2) Ephesians 5

Water Games!

Water kick ball, sponge relays, bucket filling contests: we had it all tonight! The campers competed in some awesome water-filled relays before their evening swim! The campers had fun and got to cool off at the same time!

Songs:

1) Your Love Never Fails
2) The Stand
3) Rise and Sing

The Message:

Tonight the campers learned that we cannot take the sin out of our lives. Only Jesus can do the dirty work for us. When we are in survival mode, we don't know we are sinful people. When we are thriving with God, we understand we are sinful and look to Him for forgiveness.

Demonstration:

The campers wrote one thing they would like God to wash out of their lives. They put this paper into a fire and watched in burn away just like God takes away our sins.

Scripture:

1) Romans 3:23
2) 1 John 1:8

Gladiators

Tonight's valley games consisted of an epic battle between the campers and the gladiators (aka the staff!). The competition was fierce as they competed in various gladiator games. The campers beat the gladiators by a long shot, and everyone had a blast!

The Swinging Log

At low ropes, the campers learn that each person matters on the swinging log. They have to get their whole group to stay on the log without touching the ground while they sing a song. If one person falls off, the whole group feels the shift.

Canoes!

It was a great morning for canoes with no rain in sight!

Songs:

1) Made New
2) Your Presence
3) Your Grace is Enough

The Message:

Tonight the campers learned about the theme for the week, "Thrive." Sometimes we are just living in survival mode. God wants us to flourish and connect with others. We need to not just KNOW about Him but CONNECT with Him. All of our gifts and talents can be used to connect us to Him and to the body of the church.

Scripture:

1) John 15:5
2) Romans 12:5
