Message Title: How to serve others

Story about Steph's friend Bob: examples of how servant-hearted he was. It came natural to him because he loved Jesus.

God truly desires for you to have a life that is filled with great joy.

Jesus first, others second, yourself last.

Colossians 3:23 "whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not human masters"

God has given us each unique gifts that allows us to serve in a way that only we can.

Don't wait till you are older to start using your gifts. There are plenty of ways you can serve.

Molly (a camper) shared about a mission trip she went on to her hometown

God wants to use you and your talents.

Jesus gave us the ultimate example of what it means to be a servant by washing his disciples dirty feet.

Campers were invited to get into their cabin groups and take communion.

Theme: I Am A Leader

Spiritual Highlights: 1) At worship, the campers learned that they are to live like Jesus lived. They also discovered Jesus as a leader. A leader they are called rot live like in their lives.

Video: A powerful video of a junior high boy showing extraordinary kindness and generosity. The video had a tremendous impact and helped the campers understand that they too can be leaders.

Verse: 1 Timothy 4:12 "Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you saw, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."

Response: In morning devotions, the campers will have a chance to look at qualities they see in themselves. Then one-at-a-time the campers will stand up, and everyone will share which leadership qualities they see in that camper. The camper will then share which ones they selected for themselves. This activity will be a great chance for the campers to learn more about themselves as a leader. It will be an affirming experience for the campers to have their fellow campers share leadership qualities that they see in themselves.

Prayer is the way we can connect with him like we do our best friends, but we won't be able to hear his voice if were always talking
Everybody's prayer life is totally different
Find an accountability partner, someone you can lean on and learn from in all aspects of life but especially spiritually

Key Bible Verses Isaiah 53:7-10 (The Message)
John 4:13-14 (ESV)

Sermon We ourselves can get tangled up in our sin and baggage we carry so we get overwhelmed and that becomes our identity and we because lost. Nobody can rescue us except the one true king which God has gave us we just have to reach out our hands and grab on. With Jesus, we can never be lost no matter we go through because God sent His Son for us. God brought his only son into the world only to have him forgive our sins because of his great love. God's plan for Jesus was to die for our sins. Our heaviness, our baggage. Jesus came so that it would be forgiven in His Name. God loves us so much, Jesus paid the price for our sins that they would be wiped away everyday all day. We are loved, we are forgiven by our Heavenly Father.

Response The campers had the opportunity to pray with their counselors over anything and go to their counselor to commit or recommit their life to Christ if they wish.
